President, Kennedy Information
Daniel Houder joined Kennedy Information, the parent company of G2 Intelligence, in 2000 and serves as Chief Operating Officer as well as the Publisher of G2 Intelligence.
In earlier roles at Kennedy, he directed the marketing, advertising and creative efforts for the company’s conferences, research, advisory, and newsletter product lines. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors and was responsible for new product development.
Houder began his career at MBNA America Bank (now Bank of America) where he served in a variety of analyst and marketing roles during his 10 year tenure. He was CMO and part of the initial management team that gained funding and developed CCC Interactive (now Interactive Response Technologies) an advanced teleservices firm, and was a manager in retail and commercial banking for what is now TD Banknorth. He received a degree in economics from the University of Delaware.
Beth Butler, Marketing Director
Beth Butler joined the BNA family as Marketing Manager for their IOMA products group in 2005, and became Marketing Director for G2 Intelligence in 2010. Her previous responsibilities at IOMA included audio conference, webinar and live event marketing to Human Resource, Corporate Security, Accounts Payable, and Lab Industry professionals. Prior to joining IOMA, Butler spent 10 years in the music industry specializing in domestic and international marketing at Sony Music and BMG Entertainment.
She is a graduate of The American University and has studied separately in conference and event management at New York University.
L. Eleanor J. Herriman, M.D., M.B.A., Managing Director, Advisory Services
L. Eleanor J. Herriman, M.D., M.B.A. is a pathologist executive with 15+ years experience in the medical technology industry. She has worked across sectors with both small ventures and corporations. Her market experience spans the clinical laboratory, in vitro diagnostics, e-health, biotech, and strategy consulting for Bain & Company. Other key accomplishments include growing a venture with a CLIA lab and FDA PMA approved computer-assisted cytology instrument from start-up to publicly traded company (IPO raised $100 million).
She is the leader of G2 Intelligence’s advisory services, which provides strategic consulting and custom market research and assessments for a range of clients, including pathology groups, clinical labs, health systems, hospitals, medical centers, diagnostic technology companies, and investors.
She earned her M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine, completed pathology residency at University of California San Francisco, and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with highest honors (Baker Scholar).
Stephanie Murg, Managing Director
Stephanie Murg is the Managing Director of G2 Intelligence, responsible for the live events business line as well as thought leadership roles in G2’s market research and advisory services.
Prior to joining G2, she was a research associate at JPMorganChase, Harvard Business School, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. She also has several years of laboratory experience in molecular and behavioral neuroscience research, with a focus on neurodegenerative disease.
Murg co-authored peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of Neuroscience, Human Gene Therapy, and Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, and co-wrote a chapter in the most recent edition of the textbook Neuropsychology of Memory. She received a bachelor’s degree in neurobiology from Harvard.
Jennifer Musumeci, Associate Director, Advisory Services
Jennifer Musumeci, MS, is the Associate Director, Advisory Services, with 10+ years of experience in both domestic and international healthcare research. Jennifer co-leads primary market research, secondary research and syndicated analysis at G2 Intelligence, and provides analytic support for advisory services’ custom research and strategy consulting projects.
Previous consulting and market intelligence experience spans both the supplier side as well as the client side, including roles as a Research Associate in the Healthcare and Policy Group at Harris Interactive; Acting Director, Primary Market Research, Cegedim Strategic Data, Montreal, QC; Business Analyst for the Novartis Global Oncology Group; and most recently as Deputy Director, Market Intelligence, at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Women’s Healthcare.
Musumeci completed her BFA in Film, TV and Radio at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, and her MS in Human Development at the University of Rochester.
Kimberly Scott, Managing Editor
She has 25 years of experience covering health care issues, both on a national and local level. Since 2001, she has covered the clinical laboratory and diagnostic testing industries, with an emphasis on business strategy, operations, and compliance. Prior to that, she covered long-term care, mental health, and disability issues for business-to-business publications and wrote about federal health care for U.S. Medicine. Scott got her start in writing and reporting at the Daytona Beach News-Journal, where she worked first as a general assignment reporter, and later covered the medical beat.
She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Florida Southern College and a master’s degree in English from the University of Maryland.
Dennis Weissman, Executive Editor
One of the nation’s leading experts on the clinical diagnostic laboratory and pathology sectors, Dennis Weissman is President of Dennis Weissman & Associates, LLC and founder and Executive Editor of G2 Intelligence, an independent news and information company serving the health care industry.
Founded in 2004, Dennis Weissman & Associates, LLC provides public policy and strategic business intelligence and advice for the health care industry. He is a well-known speaker before health care professional and industry trade groups nationwide. Prior to founding Washington G-2 Reports in 1979, he was Director of the Washington Office of the American Society for Medical Technology, and before that, worked as Special Assistant in the Office of the nation’s top health official in the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Indiana University.
Jonathan Wentworth-Ping, Director of Sales
Jonathan Wentworth-Ping hails from Sheffield, England but has been working in the US for the past 25 years. He has been the Director of Sales for G2 Intelligence since August 2002. His primary role is to customize corporate agreements that support companies in their desire to receive, access and use our materials across their organizations. He also heads up the development efforts associated with G2 advisory and custom research.
His professional career started in the hotel business in England, including stops in Bermuda and New York City with companies such as Sheraton, Omni and Swissôtel. Having left the hotel business, he spent 5 years in publishing with Racquet Magazine, Family Media and Black Book. Another 6+ years in IT consulting followed with firms such as Binary Tree, Starpoint Solutions and Ciber before joining IOMA in 2002.
Jenny Xu, Ph.D., Director of Research
Jenny Xu leads primary market research, secondary research, and syndicated industry analysis at G2 Intelligence. She is a highly skilled and well-respected market researcher in the healthcare arena. Prior to joining G2, Xu worked at the global consultancy ZS Associates and the full service market research firm Harris Interactive, where she led custom market research engagements for large biotech, medical device, and diagnostics companies with a remarkable client retention record.
She earned her Ph.D. with honors from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. She also holds an M.S. in Communication from Purdue University and a B.A. in English and American Literature from Peking University, China.
