G2 Intelligence’s June 13-14 virtual event offers expert advice to help labs navigate today’s economic challenges.

With layoffs in some sectors, staff shortages in others, and many slashing budgets due to economic uncertainty, medical labs face more challenges than ever. G2 Intelligence looks to support labs through this difficult period with our free Lab Institute Virtual Event: Dealing with a Difficult Economy, which runs June 13-14.

The business-focused event features six presentations and nine experts who will offer a variety of solutions to the various challenges today’s medical labs must manage. Here’s a quick rundown of the agenda:

Day 1: June 13, 2023

11:00 AM EDT: JD Donnelly, CEO and founder of Lab Institute sponsoring company, FrontRunnerHC, will kick things off with his presentation, “Thriving in a Difficult Economy: Patient-centric Strategies That Will Improve Your Bottom Line,” which will cover ways your lab can respond to today’s tough economic times to boost your competitive advantage and bottom line.

12:30 PM EDT: Following that is Rich Cornell’s talk, “How Can Labs Attract Top Talent in a Tough Economy?” Rich, who is founder and president of Santé Consulting, will share how labs can ensure they attract the best talent today and position themselves well to ensure they are a top destination for talent when the market adjusts.

2:00 PM EDT: Day 1 of the June Lab Institute will wrap up with Bellin Health lab leader Tyler Radke’s presentation “Techniques and Technology to Fight Laboratory Inflation,” which covers key challenges labs face in today’s environment and management techniques and technologies labs can use to solve these issues.

Day 2: June 14, 2023

11:00 AM EDT: Harley Ross, chief commercial officer at XiFin, will get Day 2 started with his talk “Adapting to the New Normal: Navigating the Intersection of Healthcare and Economics in a Distributed Healthcare Delivery Model.” This presentation will cover major macro trends, how they’re impacting labs, and how lab leaders can make the most of the opportunities these trends present.

12:30 PM EDT: If you’re thinking of selling your lab or merging with another company, Day 2’s panel discussion, “Preparing for or Considering Sale: The Anatomy of a Deal and Maximizing Your Opportunity,” at 12:30 PM EDT will be one to watch. Moderated by Elizabeth Sullivan of McDonald Hopkins LLC, the three panelists—Emily Johnson and Christal Contini, also of McDonald Hopkins, as well as Melissa Butterworth of Advanced Strategic Partners—will take attendees through the various stages of a sale, key challenges they may face, and how to ensure they’re prepared. Be sure to bring your questions to this interactive panel session.

2:00 PM EDT: Day 2 will conclude with Peter Francis’ presentation, “Sales and Marketing—Beyond COVID.” Peter, who is president and founder of Clinical Laboratory Sales Training, LLC, will share how lab sales reps can up their game in today’s economy and achieve success as they move beyond the pandemic period. Following each presentation, Lab Institute attendees will have the chance to ask these experts questions in a brief Q&A session. All the presentations will also be made available for on-demand viewing following the virtual event for those unable to attend live.
